Tour: DON'T TURN AROUND by Michelle Gagnon

I'm really happy to be part of the blog tour for Don't Turn Around. You can get some good information on the book below!

Can you explain the "world" Noa and Peter are living in?
In what ways does the novella No Escape tie into the story we see in Don't Turn Around

Basically, Noa and Peter live in our world, the only real difference is that there’s an illness called PEMA that only afflicts teens. It’s a wasting disease with a 100% mortality rate, and it’s quickly becoming an epidemic.

The novella explains what happens to a character who is mentioned in passing in DTA, a kid named Alex Herbruck who Noa grew up with in a foster care facility. She escapes from her captors after being kidnapped; poor Alex isn’t as fortunate.

Don't Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon
Publisher: HarperCollins (August 28th, 2012)
Reading Level: Young Adult
Hardback: 310 pages
Sixteen-year-old Noa has been a victim of the system ever since her parents died. Now living off the grid and trusting no one, she uses her computer-hacking skills to stay safely anonymous and alone. But when she wakes up on a table in an empty warehouse with an IV in her arm and no memory of how she got there, Noa starts to wish she had someone on her side.

Enter Peter Gregory. A rich kid and the leader of a hacker alliance, Peter needs people with Noa’s talents on his team. Especially after a shady corporation threatens his life. But what Noa and Peter don’t realize is that Noa holds the key to a terrible secret, and there are those who’d stop at nothing to silence her for good.

Filled with action, suspense, and romance, this first book in a new trilogy offers readers nonstop thrills.

  1. Very interesting note on the 'world' - I can't wait to read this one (it's a few down the stack in my TBR pile). Thanks for sharing!
